Operational Partner - First Ticket, EMEA



Who We Are:

TheVentureCity is a global early stage venture platform focused on making the entrepreneurial ecosystem more diverse, grounded in data, and fairly funded. Our team is made up of entrepreneurs, hyper-growth tech company executives, and operators who are committed to supporting founders in their journeys to build sustainable companies through product-led growth. We manage three funding vehicles among them a pre-seed and seed investment vehicle.

We have invested 79 early-stage pre-seed and seed startups. We know capital is not enough. We become an extended part of the each of the companies in which we invest and provide 1:1 support rooted in product led growth for 3 months. After this initial period, we continue supporting our companies through to exit with our in-house experts as well as with our +500 mentor and alumni network.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an energetic and strategic Investing Partner in EMEA. This person is responsible for sourcing, investing in, and supporting companies through exit. At TheVentureCity, we support companies through our product-led methodology. Our focus is on growth and retention. They will be an ambassador for TheVentureCity nurturing existing relationships and fostering new ones with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry practitioners. This is a unique opportunity to impact the future of TheVentureCity and our footprint in Europe.


The Partner’s responsibilities as a deal lead will include owning the investment process by driving the full lifecycle of a deal:

  • Identifying and tracking technology trends and market developments.
  • Networking with entrepreneurs, venture investors, and industry practitioners.
  • Generating proprietary deal flow of investment opportunities.
  • Leading due diligence, financial analysis, terms negotiation and investment process.
  • Preparing internal presentations and memorandums on the health of our portfolio.
  • Traveling and attending industry conferences and portfolio company board meetings/visits.
  • Supporting startups post-investment with deep strategic insights to help company grow.

  • Networker who has established an extensive network of peers, classmates, former colleagues, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists.
  • Highly articulate with exceptional presentation skills, both in presenting verbally and in creation of slides.
  • Strong quantitative skills with an ability to build and operate Excel models for financial análisis.
  • Diligent leader with strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred experience: 8 – 10 years of total professional experience, including 2+ years of VC experience.
